Reviews of Casita Mosaica
Stunning and seductive

Casita Mosaica is a stunning and seductive one bedroomed tower, nestling in the magical hidden garden of Casa Mosaica. It has a beguiling private court yard, where you can sip a glass of the delicious local wine under the majestic palm tree canopy.
Alternatively, you can take yourself up to the wonderful covered roof terrace and drink in the views of this fascinating corner of Southern Spain or simply look down upon the splendid garden, and swoon.
The Casita is brimming with Moorish character and furnished sympathetically to an excellent standard, ensuring that your romantic holiday has all of the creature comforts the discerning travel expects and yet it feels like a home away from home. A dreamy property that you will fall in love with.
Situated in the renowned white village of Gaucin, you are within short walking distance of the local shops and wonderful bars and restaurants that the village has to offer. It is a vibrant working Spanish pueblo offering authentic Spanish life at close quarters.
The property offers wonderful walking opportunities direct from the doorstep for those seeking breathtaking views, but for those seeking a more leisurely pace, then take yourself down the garden to the pool, which is shared with the equally beautiful Casa Mosaica apartment, and soak up the sun or cool off in the glorious water.
You will not be disappointed by this lovely property, far from it, you will be delighted.
Ideal location

Date of Stay: August 2015
This was our second visit to Casa Mosaica. Both times we stayed in La Casita which is perfect for a couple. It is beautiful with all its colour and the mosaics in the floors and stairs, and in the shower!
La Casita has a well-equipped kitchen where we cooked breakfasts for six of us. Our daughter, her husband and two daughters (twelve and nine years old) stayed in the apartment. We shared meals quite a few times during our week stay, in the garden, near the pool and on the patio of La Casita.
Casa Mosaica is in such an ideal location in Gaucin. The main grocery store is right across the street. Even though we were there in mid-August during the heat, both La Casita and the apartment stayed cool enough for us to sleep and enjoy both places. Then of course, we had the pool to cool off in and gather around. The girls spent many hours in the water.
Our daughter's family visited Tangier for a day and wished they could have stayed longer. Their guide was recommended by Emma, our host. Who, by the way, is the perfect host - always there if you need anything. We would love to go there every year if it weren't so far away!

Casa Mosaica and La Casita are truly a dream home away from home. The house was perfect and we will always treasure the time we spent here.
A special place full of beauty

Date of Stay: June 2014
Thank you, thank you, thank you for a wonderful time. This is a special place full of beauty, mystery, peace and dreams.
It has all been hosted with integrity, kindness and warmth. The gardens, mosaics and pool will swirl in our heads with child like pleasure. I will survey the world from the Casita’s tower in my dreams forever.
A stay never to forget.
Comfortable, cosy and full of beautiful things

Date: October 2013 to April 2014
"This house is unlike any house we have rented before because it feels like a home - it’s comfortable, cosy and full of beautiful things" - Sue
"Sue, Lili and I have been living in the Casita whilst we look for a permanent home in Gaucin. It is a wonderful and cosy home, providing us with a peaceful and very inspiring location. Our daughter Lili has a wonderful garden where she can play and explore in complete safety and enjoy the company of her school friends.
As photographers we look for an area that will help us to get away from the intensity of our commercial work and the house that Emma has created provides us with a unique environment from which to hold our photographic courses." - Alberto

Magical and artistic holiday property in Gaucin

Date of Stay: August 2013
The uneven and cracked road heading inland to the vertiginous village of Gaucin causes even the most sturdy and robust car to bounce and bump along. It winds through rolling pastures, punctuated by huge electric wind turbines, before climbing up from a river valley, to the 'balcón de la Serranía'.
Arriving into the village, strategically positioned high up in the mountains, overlooking the coast, Gibraltar and the north African coast, it doesn’t take much imagination to understand why it’s called the ‘balcony’ of this Serrania mountain area. Read full article at andaluciadiary.com
